RoadWhispr (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application RoadWhispr (the “App”). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the App.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Effective Date” of this policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways, including:

a. Location Data

The App requires access to your device's precise location (GPS) to function. We collect real-time location data while the App is in use — and, with your permission, in the background while you drive — to determine which audio stories to trigger near you. Location data is processed on-device where possible and is not stored on our servers beyond the duration needed to serve stories.

b. Device Information

We may collect device information such as your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer, the operating system version, IP address, and diagnostic crash data to help us maintain and improve the App.

c. Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the App, including which stories you listen to, how long you listen, stories you save or replay, and in-app navigation patterns. This data is used in aggregate to improve our story library and recommendation features.

d. Account Information

If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you voluntarily provide. If you subscribe to a paid plan or make in-app purchases, payment information is processed by Apple's in-app purchase system and we do not have access to your full payment details.

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver GPS-triggered audio stories as you travel
• Personalize your experience and remember your story history
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Send transactional and service-related communications
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the App and story library
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraud
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

a. Service Providers

We may share data with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting, analytics (e.g., aggregate, anonymized crash reporting), and customer support tools. These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for any purpose other than serving RoadWhispr.

b. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights or property of RoadWhispr, prevent fraud, or protect the personal safety of users or the public.

c. Business Transfers

If RoadWhispr is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the App of any change in ownership or uses of your information.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Location data used to trigger stories is not persisted beyond the active session. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, you may contact us at support@roadwhispr.com.

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data transmitted to or from the App.

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of certain data processing activities

You can also manage location permissions at any time through your iOS device settings. Disabling location access will prevent story triggers from working.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every third-party site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
